The Management of the University Of Uyo (UNIUYO) has scheduled the 24th Convocation Ceremony Programme of Events.

UNIUYO Convocation Ceremony Programme of Events:

1. Monday, October 29, 2018
Press Briefing/Conference at Council Chamber, Main Campus.
Time: 2p.m.

2. Thursday, November 01, 2018
Alumni Home-coming celebration at 2 p.m.
Alumni Dinner : Time: 6p.m.

3. Friday, November 02, 2018
(A) Convocation Lecture:
Topic: Creating World Class Universities for a Vibrant Nigerian Economy and Sustainable Democracy
Lecturer: Prof. Nimi Briggs (former Vice-Chancellor, University of Port Harcourt)
Venue:1000-SeaterCapacity TETFund Auditorium , (Main Campus)
Time:3 p.m.

(B) Convocation Play
Venue: 250-Seater Capacity TETFund Auditorium (Main Campus)
Time: 5 p.m

(C) Convocation Dinner
Venue: Multi-Purpose Hall (Main Campus)
Time:7pm

4. Saturday, November 03, 2018:
(A) Commissioning of Projects
Time: 9 a.m.

(B) Conferment of Honorary Degrees, Postgraduate Degrees, First Degrees, Awards of Diplomas, Certificates and Presentation of Academic Prizes.
Venue: Convocation Arena, Main Campus
Time: 10.00 a.m. (Procession begins)

Eligible staff are please requested to participate in the following procession as applicable.

• Procession – Congregation
• Procession – Senate
• Procession – Council
  

(C) Convocation Luncheon
Venue: Multipurpose Hall (Main Campus) immediately after the main event.
